How Ultimate Trucking Solutions collects, uses and protects personal information.
Who we are
Ultimate Trucking Solutions ("UTS") and its operating companies in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Contact our information officer at enquiries@uts.co.bw.
What we collect
- Customers: name, contact details, company, asset and location information, photographs, fault descriptions and transaction records.
- Network providers: identity and registration details, qualifications, licences, documents, service area, availability, banking details for payouts and performance records.
- Website visitors: technical data needed to run and secure the site (IP address, browser, security logs). We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To coordinate assistance and dispatch, source parts, provide telematics and marketplace services, verify providers, bill customers and pay providers, meet legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud and keep our platform secure.
Sharing
We share only what a dispatched provider needs to do the job (e.g. contact name, phone, asset and location). We never publish providers' personal contact details and never sell personal information. Payments are processed by UTS.
Security
Sensitive fields (identity numbers, licences, bank details) are encrypted at rest; documents are stored privately; access is role-based with audit trails and multi-factor authentication for staff.
Retention and your rights
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and legal retention periods. You may request access, correction or deletion, or object to processing, by emailing enquiries@uts.co.bw.
